Aussie Lamb loves NYC! We’ve been tracking Aussie meats on menus across NYC lately, and let’s just say it looks delicious, mate! From super sexy Aussie lamb neck to great looking rack at a classic French restaurant, our beef and lamb are turning heads and wowing guests across the city.
Chef Shaun Hergatt at Vestry is killing it with this succulent braised [Aussie] lamb neck glazed in its own juices until fork-tender, nestled on creamy polenta. Sweet cippolini onions and vibrant broccolini balance the richness.
The gloss on that sauce!
Over at our mate George Pagonis’ Paros, there’s Aussie lamb all over the menu, from the classic lamb chops to lamb shoulder in the Kleftiko, a phyllo wrapped speciality; and the Youvetsi, an Aussie lamb shank braised in stock with cinnamon stick, bay leaf, allspice and peppercorns and then baked in a clay pot with orzo and garnished with mizithra. Wow!
La Grand Boucherie (two NYC locations) is classic French par excellence. This rack of lamb dish over great northern beans with provençal tomatoes and lamb jus is simply ooh la la!
